SINOPSIS

James Joyce said that the universal is contained in the particular. At a time of so much division, witnessing an act of union is quite an event. That is why in Afines we celebrate that beyond our lived experiences, beyond our unique identities, we have much in common.

Two bodies dancing the same language.

Two bodies inhabiting the same space and time.

Two bodies sharing the same universe.

Afines expresses how bodies intertwine and interlock becoming one: moments where they orbit around each other and attract and distance themselves, moments of honing their connections and development in an intense relationship but also freezing and burning; moments of forgetting and remembering, but always finding in creativity an option – the only option.

And as Kae Tempest says creativity stimulates connection. It brings us together and helps us cultivate a greater awareness of ourselves.
